Purpose:
To meet psychiatric nurse practitioners’ need for enhanced understanding and advanced knowledge of current innovative practices in psychiatric mental health and implications for practice in diverse settings.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Apply new research on the assessment and treatment of Bipolar Spectrum Disorder in Pediatric Population.
2. Apply new evidenced based practice in counseling pediatric patients having psychiatric disorders and their families.
3. Utilize contemporary evidence base practices in counseling patients with mental health problems across the life span.
4. Understand the new approaches to using screening instruments to evaluate patients with neurocognitive problems.
5. Apply new evidence based practices in assessment and interventions of patients with neurocognitive disorders.
Target Audience:
Psychiatric Registered Nurses, Psychiatric APNs, Advanced Practice Nurses, Psychiatric APN Graduate students and Mental Health professions who require updated knowledge of evidenced-based practice treatment in areas involving lifespan issues.
