Keynote Speaker: Dr. Robert Bransfield, MD,DLFAPA will be presenting on the psychiatric symptoms and associated diseases related to Lyme disease.
Robert C. Bransfield, MD, Clinical Associate Professor Robert Wood Johnson UMDNJ Medical School and Past President International Lyme and Associated Diseases Educational Foundation is a graduate of Rutgers College and the George Washington University School of Medicine.Dr. Bransfield’s primary activity is an office based private practice of psychiatry in Red Bank, NJ.
Elaine Hardy, APN will be presenting on medical conditions that mimic psychiatric conditions.
Ms. Hardy is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. With over 20 years of experience in Oncology, Women's Health, Pediatrics, and Integrative Medicine, Elaine brings extensive knowledge and passion about healing the body naturally and treating the root cause of disease, rather than simply treating the symptoms. Elaine has a special interest in digestive issues, hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, hormonal and metabolic issues, weight loss, fitness, and children with special needs with her practice in Hackettstown.
Cross Fire Panel Discussion: Case Presentation with 2 SPAPN and 2 FNAP membership to discuss cases common to psychiatry and primary care.
Registration begins at 8:00 am light breakfast and lunch will be served, business meeting to follow.
Fee: $40 for non-members $30 for members $25 for students

Expected Learning Outcomes:
1. Apply knowledge obtained on Lyme disease and the psychiatric implications of assessment and treatment.
2. Demonstrate the ability to evaluate patients for medical conditions that co-occur with or mimic psychiatric symptomatology.
3. Analyze the role of the nurse practitioner in the delivery of integrated behavioral health in primary care.
Successful Completion: The entire session must be attended, evaluation form completed and completion of the 3 month email evaluation must be met to receive credit.
