They are centrally located in a beautiful and serene rural setting and are in growth mode as well with new construction currently underway. The Medical Director is highly regarded as an expert in Behavioral Health and has provided many innovative approaches to treating all aspects of Mental Health.

    Brief Job Description

    • Coordinates and administers medical care to patients (acute care, dual diagnosis, older adults and adolescents) on a float basis. 
    • Conforms to performance improvement standards of patient care as established through Policies and Procedures. 
    • Provides professional representation of the Hospital to other mental health professionals, professional societies, community agencies, and the lay public.
    • Daily hospital patient rounds as well as daily psychiatric and medical care and documentation of treatment, including progress notes, discharge summary and referral form.
    • Contact with Family and Referral and Managed care interfacing.
    • As assigned by Medical Director, daily unit meeting attendance, Medical Staff Conference attendance and Medical Staff committee assignments.

    Ideal Candidate

    NJ state registered APN with at least 2 years of prescribing experience as well as two years of behavioral health or psychiatry experience. Knowledge of in-patient psychiatric treatment including medications and treatment options.
