    Minimum Education:

    Completion of accredited Masters or DNP Program in Advanced Practice Nursing 

    Experience Required: 

    Minimum of 2 years of prescribing experience and 3 years practicing in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting

    Licensure and Certifications Required:

    • Board Certification in Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nursing (CNS or NP)
    • Current New Jersey RN License and APN Certification
    • Current US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certificate
    • Current NJ Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate


    • Daily hospital patient rounds.
    • Daily psychiatric and medical care and documentation of treatment, including progress notes, discharge summary and referral form.
    • Family & Referral Contact 
    • Multidisciplinary conferencing, including Master Treatment Planning Conferences, team meetings, and treatment plan revisions.
    • Contact with third and fourth party payers to discuss clinical criteria for continued stay, approval for consults and special procedures, and discharge planning.
    • Presenting cases in court as necessary
    • Performs other duties as requested by Administration.
