    Assistant Professor-Tenure Track

    The Undergraduate Department of the College of Nursing is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure track assistant professor position.  The appointment begins in the fall of 2016. The applicant should have Psychiatric Nursing experience. 

    Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and Clinical Nurse Leader graduate courses including didactic and clinical courses. Courses faculty may teach include Psychiatric nursing theory and clinical courses as well as non-specialty specific courses if appropriate. These courses may include health promotion, intro to professional nursing, physical assessment, pharmacology and pathophysiology. Faculty may also be asked to serve as a reader on DNP scholarly projects and PhD candidacy, proposal and dissertation defenses if appropriate. Normal teaching load is 9 teaching credits per semester.

    Candidates with a PhD in nursing is preferred, MSN or DNP also considered and National Certification in psychiatric nursing.  Experience in nursing research and potential for scholarly productivity encouraged. Teaching experience is preferred.
