    Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner-Child, Adolescent, and Adult

    Family Service Association of South Jersey is a diverse behavioral health and social service agency headquartered in Atlantic County and serving the southern 7 counties. Located just minutes from the beautiful jersey shore beaches and attractions, Family Service Association’s mission to strengthen individuals and families results in touching over 8,500 individuals annually. 

    We are currently searching for an experienced APN to join our Agency’s Behavioral Health Team. We are seeking a professional with a MS in Nursing; 

    • New Jersey APN licensure with prescriptive authority in good standing; 
    • Certification as a Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center; 
    • valid CDS Registration with the State of New Jersey and current DEA registration; 
    • previous experience treating mental health disorders within an outpatient clinic or other community mental health setting; 
    • valid New Jersey driver’s license. 

    • The APN will be responsible for completing psychiatric evaluations including MSE and document diagnostic impression; 
    • familiar with DSM 5 and ICD -10.; 
    • demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and sound clinical practice for the target population receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment services; 
    • conduct continual treatment plan management and evaluation to promote holistic wellness and recovery; 
    • review client medication needs, prescribe medication in accordance with clinical standards and directed by the Joint Protocol Agreement; 
    • provide continual services and treatment-plan management in accordance with reasonable care and age-appropriate standards; 
    • follow Family Service Association policy and procedure with regard to the delivery of care, treatment, and services; 
    • maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with Federal, State, County, regulations, policy, and procedure;
    • proficient in utilization of an Electronic Health Record; 
    • collaborate with other treatment team staff and client Primary Care Physician; 
    • seek continual guidance from the Collaborating Psychiatrist/Medical Director; 
    • maintains strict standards of confidentiality.
